So, I’ve been asked a few times about my “workout secrets,” which made me lol for a bit. I decided to compile what I do into a video, with a little meal recipe thrown in at the end. Ps. I’m not saying do exactly what I do – this is not monkey see monkey do lol. This is just what I do, and I’m throwing out some suggestions that have worked for me. If you have any suggestions, feel free to list them! ![]()
Okay lets say that I am your boyfriend & we have been dating for almost a year. I am a very skinny and very athletic & energetic guy. You and I live in a nice town home together & just the two of us live there. So on a Friday I decide to use a personal day at work and take the day off without you knowing about it because you leave for work before me every morning. So right after you leave for work, I start to clean the whole house, clean the kitchen, clean the bathroom, vacuum and organize everything and make everything is super clean and tidy. I even put in new air freshener’s all over the house to make the place smell very good. I go out to buy 2 sets of fresh roses & a lot of nice scented candles. I go to the grocery store and I buy some nice things for our dinner & dessert tonight. I come home, I take a shower, put on some very nice clothes and cologne. Then I put the 1st set of roses in a nice vase on the table where we eat & the 2nd set of roses I keep just for you. I cook dinner which is grilled salmon, baked chicken, baked potatoes, stuffing, and for dessert I bake a nice fresh apple pie. I light the scented candles all over the house and I dim the lights to make it more romantic. It is now night time and you come home from work and you are hungry. You walk through the door to a super clean and very good smelling house and you walk into a dim lit kitchen with me standing in front of the table with the food and roses on it and I am holding a set of roses in my hand and I am smiling. I ask how your day was at work and then I say to you, "Dinner is served my beautiful princess" then I take your hand and kiss it. Girls, how would you reward me? When you walked into the kitchen, what would be your reaction when you see me, the food, the candles, and the roses and all the hard work I did all day just for you? & What would be the first thing you would do and say to me after I kissed your hand? Would you do anything special for me? I am planning to do this for my girlfriend and I just want to see what you would do if I was your boyfriend and I did this for you? So girls, I would really like to hear your opinions on this! Thank you for reading this and thank you for answering this!
my son is now 2 months old and when i became pregnant i weighed 160lbs which is a very healthy looking weight for my frame. i now weigh 198 lbs. my dr recently put me on an appetite suppressant called adipex and it makes me feel full with less food and not really feel hungry all day. i have been watching my carbs but i just feel like there arent many options for low carb when you dont really like meat. ive considered trying the new slimfast 3-2-1 diet…i work 7 hrs a day and take care of a new baby so i dont have a ton of time to cook. i prefer to buy the meals and pop them in the microwave because i still live with my parents and cooking my own meal while they cook theirs will be a mess. any help would be appreciated…

Ok I lost 20 pounds in since this passed June by walking to and from work everyday without changing my eating habits. I walk 3 miles to work and 3 miles home. At times I walk 2 miles during lunch. I eat oatmeal or cereal for breakfast, fruit for snack, a low cal sandwich for lunch. I cook healthy dinners for my family during the week. BUT we eat out every weekend and I just go to town at the restaruants! I love eating out. I order a decent meal with 2 drinks :/ I can’t help it! I wish I had more self control at the restauraunts but I don’t. I’m still not happy with how I look, I still have 10 pounds to go. I have to change my eating out habits.

These two proverbs seem to contradict each other. Let me know if they do or don’t. Appreciate the feedback

Here’s a simple solution for busy singles that want to stop themselves from eating out all the time, and start eating healthy on a regular basis. Using this simple system, you’ll do less work, eat better, and spend less than you would on fast food. If you like the concepts presented in The Four Hour Workweek, then this is perfect for you. Credit also goes to my friend Dan Rose from www.sixpackshortcuts.com for giving me the idea to get the takeout containers from my local restaurant supply store. If you’re curious, they cost under for 150 units (including the lids), so that’s less than 30 cents per container, and you can re-use them again and again. I hope you enjoy giving this a try. It’s working for me, and I believe it can work for you too.
After a hard week at work, the husband and I have slept in quite late. In fact, the first meal I’m making is dinner! But it’s going to take 3-4 hours to roast and prepare. I don’t want to be too stuffed to enjoy this lovely meal, but we’ll never make it that far without eating SOMEthing. I want to cook up something quick, easy, LIGHT (I thought of some pre-made condensed soup, but it’s too hot for something so heavy and hot) and filling enough to tide us over without spoiling dinner. I’m drawing a blank, though–our empty pantry isn’t helping–and need some suggestions. ![]()
Dinner is Tyler’s Ultimate Beef Tacos– http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/tyler-florence/mexican-pot-roast-tacos-recipe/index.html –so nothing too similar to Mexican flavors, either. Thanks in advance!
Linda G: How are you a top contributor? You could not possibly have answered my question in a less helpful way.
Everyone else, thanks for the suggestions; I don’t need any more answers now, got it worked out. ![]()
