I am a pescetarian (meaning the only meat I eat is Fish) and I just want to know if this way of eating will help me maintain a weight of 90 lbs at 5’0 with a slow metabolism.
I am 16 years old by the way and of course I am in school all day, and I am fairly active, I have many afterschool activities, and I am in a dance program at my school. I also use my gym membership sometimes and go and workout on the elliptical machine. I do crunches/ 5lb weights for arms/ squats/ stretching everyday to keep myself tone. But I know I have a REALLY slow metabolism. So lets just say without any exercise, would this diet help me maintain my weight? Thanks!:D
(of course once in awhile I MIGHT cheat on special occasions and stuff but I would try to do it healthily like dark chocolate or whole grain bakery goods or sugar free candy. But I’m usually good and don’t have much an appetite or sweet tooth)
Ok I lost 20 pounds in since this passed June by walking to and from work everyday without changing my eating habits. I walk 3 miles to work and 3 miles home. At times I walk 2 miles during lunch. I eat oatmeal or cereal for breakfast, fruit for snack, a low cal sandwich for lunch. I cook healthy dinners for my family during the week. BUT we eat out every weekend and I just go to town at the restaruants! I love eating out. I order a decent meal with 2 drinks :/ I can’t help it! I wish I had more self control at the restauraunts but I don’t. I’m still not happy with how I look, I still have 10 pounds to go. I have to change my eating out habits.

Hello there!
My daughter is now 2 1/2. She has always been healthy, No allergy of any food and has never gotten too ill. Common cold here and there. She is very tall. Must have gotten it from my husband and I. She is in the 98 percentile in height and 84 percentile in her weight. ( from a week ago during her last doctor visit)
In my opinion she is no where over weight as she is a very tall. But I feel that it can eventually get there in few years. I have always battled with my weight and been feeding her not so healthy food all her toddler years. I feel terrible and feel disgusted the fact that I’ve been neglecting her future eating habit. She loves fruits very much and can eat bowl full of it any time of the day but she has terrible phobia with vegetables. She won’t even eat a piece of onion in her spaghetti.
To fix this problem I’ve tried making her juice with fresh fruits and vegetables with a juicer. She hates and can taste even the littlest amount of vegetables in her juice. I’ve tried over cooking vegetables and smashing it and mixing it in her food. At first I thought she was doing okay. Like, I use to cook broccoli and smash it and put it in her home made mash potato and call it the "green" food.
Then my husband who doesn’t know any better called it broccoli mash potato. Ever since that she was done with anything that was green. She doesn’t even eat a fruit snack that’s green sometimes. It’s a very odd behavior I can’t understand.
Anyways… Ive bought all the tools to make her food that’s more healthy. I am now making her fruit sorbet instead of ice cream and giving her low fat/ low carb yogurt as a treat.
See.. the problem is.. I spend over 10 times more in the kitchen then I use to. I am constantly making next meal or snack for her but nothing satisfy her. She keeps asking for fruit snacks, gold fish crackers, and cereal bars that are usually load with sugar.
I am getting frustrated and can’t bare to waste any more food by trying to make something for her al the time…
I was thinking about seriously just not giving her anything until she gives in to eat vegetables. I have no idea how long that would take but my mom is totally against it.. she thinks this will just traumatize her from eating healthy..
hmm.. any advice or input would be greatly appreciated it!
There’s a 7 day diet that boosts your metabolism. It only lasts those 7 days but it works. In the first few days, you’ll burn between 7 and 15 lbs. It’s called the prefast diet. It takes away your cravings for anything unhealthy too. Go over to www.worldprayercenter.org. Click to enter. Then find the prefast diet on the righthandside of the screen. Click there. The diet works but it’s really tough to last the 7 days.

Pre-Fast Diet
Below is a pre-fasting diet which will helps cleanse the body from toxins, but stimulates metabolism of your body. You will probably lose seven to twelve pounds in one week, depending on your present body weight.
6 large green onions, (scallions – but we used regular onions), 2 green peppers, 1 or 2 large cans of tomatoes, 1 bunch of celery, 1 large head of cabbage, 1 pkg of Lipton Onion Soup Mix.
Season with salt, pepper, curry, parsley, etc., if desired, or 6 bouillon cubes. (Note: Half of this recipe was made and used according to following instructions by two people for four days. We kept it continually hot in a crock pot.) Cut vegetables in small to medium pieces and cover with water. Boil fast for ten minutes. Reduce to simmer and continue cooking until vegetables are tender. This can be eaten anytime you are hungry. Eat as much as you want, whenever you want at any time of the day. This soup will not add calories; the more you eat, the more you lose. If eaten alone for indefinite periods, you would suffer malnutrition. Fill a thermos in the morning if you will be away during day.
Day One. All fruits except bananas. Your first day should consist of all the fruit you want, except bananas. Cantaloupes and watermelons are lower in calories than most fruits. Eat only your soup and fruits the first day. For drinks – unsweetened tea, cranberry juice, or water.
Day Two. All vegetables. Eat until you are stuffed with all the fresh, raw, or cooked vegetables of your choice. Try to eat green, leafy vegetables and stay away from dry beans, peas, and corn. Eat all the vegetables you want along with your soup. At dinner time on this day, reward yourself with a big baked potato and butter. Eat all the soup you want this day, but don’t eat fruits.
Day Three. Mix day one and day two. Eat all the soup, fruit, and vegetables you want. You CAN’T have a baked potato this day.
IF YOU HAVE EATEN AS ABOVE FOR THREE DAYS AND HAVE NOT CHEATED, YOU WILL FIND THAT YOU WILL HAVE LOST FIVE TO SEVEN POUNDS.
Day Four. Bananas and skimmed milk. Eat as many as eight bananas and drink as many glasses of skimmed milk as you can on this day along with your soup. Bananas are high in calories and so is the milk, but on this particular day of our diet your body will need the potassium and the carbohydrates, proteins and calcium to lessen your craving for sweets.
Day Five. Beef and tomatoes (or salad). You may have 10-20 ounces this day. Try to drink as many as 6-8 glasses of water this day to wash away the uric acid in your body. Eat your soup at least once this day.
Day Six. Beef and veggies. Eat to your heart’s content of beef and vegetables this day. You can even have two or three steaks if you like with green, leafy vegetables but no baked potatoes. Be sure to eat soup at least once this day.
Day Seven. Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables. Again, stuff, stuff, stuff yourself. Be sure to eat soup at least once today.
BY THE END OF THE SEVENTH DAY, IF YOU HAVE NOT CHEATED ON THE DIET, YOU WILL FIND THAT YOU HAVE LOST 10-17 POUNDS. IF YOU HAVE LOST MORE THAN 15 POUNDS, STAY OFF THE DIET FOR TWO DAYS BEFORE RESUMING.
This seven day eating plan can be used as often as you like. As a matter of fact, if correctly followed, it will clean your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well-being as never before. After only days of this process, you will begin to feel lighter, at least 10 and possibly 17 pounds, and have an abundance of energy. Continue this plan as long as you wish and feel the difference. This diet is a fast, fat-burning diet. the secret is that you will burn more calories than you take in. It will flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well-being. This diet does not lend itself to drinking any alcoholic beverages at any time because of the removal of fat buildups in your system. Go off the diet at least 24 hours before any intake of alcohol. Because everyone’s digestive system is different, this diet will affect everyone differently.
