I love mushrooms…especially Porcini mushrooms.

Here is a simple and fast Italian recipe:

Mushrooms (porcini or portobella)
olive oil
onion (cut up)
1 or 2 garlic cloves (cut up)
potatoes (peeled and cut into cubes)

Saute the mushrooms in olive oil, fresh garlic, and a little onion. Add the potatoes. Cover the pan and cook slowly until the potatoes are soft.

    You should cook the potatoes first- the mushrooms don’t take that long.

    I like them cooked and raw, portabella musrooms are good cooked with onions and provalone cheese, ummm.

    I love mushrooms, raw and cooked! Some of my favorite ways to eat them are sauteed with sliced onions in butter & olive oil and served over a nice steak, raw dipped in Ranch dressing, battered and deep fried, in spaghetti sauce, on pizza, marinated in salads, and stuffed with a seasoned cheese & breadcrumb mixture, and baked .

    I dont like neither but I cook them for my hubby and mom and they liked them sliced and grilled on my indoor grilled pan with a little salt and pepper.

    Thanks for the recipe, sounds great! I love mushrooms cooked or raw in a salad. Portobellas are a favorite of mine either sauteed or grilled, they also make delicious mushroom soup and are a wonderful filling for ravioli if mixed with a little ricotta cheese, served with alfredo sauce. Delicioso!

    Like ‘em both raw and cooked. Raw in salads, cooked (especially burgundy mushrooms) or sauteed with a steak. Favorite kind are the little button mushrooms. The wacky kind are nice too. LOL
