Make sure you are using products that are not only sugar free( not all are low carb too) to prep your food with. Most of your carbs come from the sweeteners and flour sources in your food item. There are alot of sweetener alternatives out there, but not many flour ones. The various sweeteners are not interchangeable in every type of recipe so research it before you purchase it. Some work best in cakes, some in breads, some in icings , etc…The only reliable low carb flour sources I have found are Coconut flour, Almond Flour, Flax meal and Carbalose. All of these products are available with printable nutrition info on netrition.com.Even after paying shipping costs, their prices are cheaper than my local grocery store. Good luck and google "low carb recipes" and you will be given options for some great sites with recipes and tips.
