I’m 26, 5’7", 250lbs. I’m overweight and I feel disgusting. I don’t really know how to cook and even if I did I don’t have a lot of time to do it. I could probably recite you the entire mcdonalds menu. I have no idea how to eat healthy. I have almost no metabolism anymore. Help.

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It’s not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym – a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

think of your weight & cry. crying is the most efficient weight loser. but pls do not overdo it. another way, maybe while showering, groove your body to disco music eg. my fav : "beat it". be careful of slippery floor though.

First, you should probably start logging everything you eat in one week. after that, look at what you have eaten, and look at the foods you know that are bad for you. Circle them and make sure you don’t eat those foods as much as possible. Eliminate snacking between breakfast lunch and dinner. Don’t add salt and sugar to meals. If you’re thirsty, drink water. when making meals, make them simple, like a sandwich (make sure the bread is wholegrain) or fruit salad. The average person should have at least two serves of fruit and five serves of vegetables every day. Learn to cook at a local cooking class if you have time, and if you do start to cook, by some easy cook books and a calorie intake book to ensure that you are eating healthy. you can cook meals the night before and refrigerate it. Just microwave it the next night. replace everything you can in your diet with as much low fat as possible.
you will still need exercise.you will only need about 30 minutes a day. do something you enjoy, or something simple like walking or swimming. if you don’t enjoy it, you’re more likely to give up.
It’s all in the key of balancing exercise with eating.

There are tons of people who don’t like to cook, who don’t know much about nutrition, and there are tons of resources out there for you. Basically, you’re going to have to avoid all fast and deep fried food, processed ("junk") and refined foods and sugar/corn syrup; focus on lean protein, fruits, vegetables, healthy fats and whole grains. To acquaint yourself with a healthy balanced diet, consult the food pyramid or read about diet at www.diabetes.org. Weight Watchers is a very successful program that’s easy to follow.
Some more tips: always eat breakfast, it starts the metabolism running for the day. Eat 5-6 small meals or 3 meals and 2 snacks a day to keep that metabolism at optimal speed (it shuts down when you’re starving yourself). Drink lots of water. Make goals that are reasonable: for example, start out walking 20 minutes every other day. Gradually increase your exercise, which will be easier when you’ve lost some weight. Have support from friends, family or online support groups (http://www.sparkpeople.com is a good one). Be open to new foods! I was never much of a vegetable fan but I learned to like them (it helps when you like to cook). I hated beans but now I eat them daily (great CHEAP source of fiber, calcium and protein). Shop at greenmarkets. Take advantage of sales (tilapia, chicken thighs) and Costco. Use spices, salsa, and other healthy condiments. Strive for health improvement over quick easy weight loss, fad diets are never a good idea. Reward yourself when you’ve reached a goal.
Take advantage of your youth, losing weight now will be a lot easier than in 10-20 years. Good luck, you can do it.

If you are putting that garbage into your face, you are NOT a picky eater. You are a convenience eater. You want meals that are easy. This is not a problem, the number one thing you can do, is stop going to fast food, you KNOW that is unhealthy.
Ok you gained weight because you have consistently eaten more than you burn (that is the only way to gain). First you need to reduce the amount you eat to about 1500-1750 calories a day. Even if you still ate crap from McD, you would lose weight.
Figure out what you like, rationally, you know what food is healthy.
Good
Vegetables, fruits, lean cuts of meat, whoe grains, rice, beans, nuts.
Bad
Anything at a drive through window, snackey cakes, white bread and pasta (too calorie dense for you). Sugar, soda, etc.
Reduce the calories to the above suggested amount, and exercise daily (even if its a 20 min walk).
