Why not Cast Iron, because cast iron is dangerous to those with an access of iron in their blood, therefore harmful from the leeching process of the equipment. A lot of cookware leeches. One should truely be wary of the cooking utencils that give you metal toxins. The only equipment that would give you a metal toxin is: 1. Lead – Often found in pewter. 2. Copper – 100% copper, not stainless steel plated copper. And finially 3. Zinc – which is found in galvenized items.

Why not cast iron? It needs no dishwasher and distributes and holds heat more evenly than aluminum. Aluminum can leech toxins into your food and the water!
