I own a very old gas stove with a cook top that lifts up to access the pilot light. Also the timers on the back of the stove no longer work. I would like to fix those also but they are not necessary.

Most of the time it is a simple cleaning that is necessary follow where the estution tube goes to the burner there is supposed to be a small hole in the old burner that allows gas to blow down the tube simply clean out that hole and make sure it can blow gas down to the flame
it is easy with a tooth pick or if really crusted a small drill bit

There is also a small screw adjustment to increase the size of the flame for the pilot simply follow the tube from the pilor and you will see this tiny valve

it might be time to look into a newer stove… one that has electrinic starters (snap…snap…snap…).

They are not all that expensive, as opposed to the cost of repairing an old one.

As for the lighting of the burners, typically there is some sort of tube that goes from the burner to the pilot flame. On the burner end of the tube there are holes where the gas comes out to go to the pilot to get lit. Often those holes get clogged with stuff, simply use a pin or needle to unclog the holes.
As for the pilot not staying lit, first ensure that the pilot tube openings are not clogged as well. If they are clean, you will need to follow that pilot tube back to the gas manifold (gas source tube where the gas goes to the individual burners and pilots etc.) and locate the pilot set screw. Most, but not all pilots will have a set screw that you can turn to adjust the height of the flame. Be sure not to open the set screw too much as it will make your stove top too hot.
If this does not seem right post the model number so I can look it up.

The reason the pilot light keeps blowing out is because the air vent in the kitchen is doing it, nothing you can do about that besides closing it so that nothing comes out. The back burners need to be replaced they are not repairable go to any hardware store of home depot or lowes to purchase them. Good luck!

Have your gas company come and check it out. I think they still do this.
