Well, I’m a mom and I pretty much agree with the first answerer. After him refusing a meal or two, he will realize that he eats it or he goes hungry. Believe me, he’ll catch on pretty quickly. Try cooking your veggies in a way that still makes them taste good. There’s no harm in tossing his veggies in a little bit of margarine made with vegetable oil, adding seasonings, or pepper. The only thing you really need to watch out for is the salt. Try putting a little bit of cheese over broccoli, things like that. It might make it a little bit more apealing for him.

I’m the mother of 5, and sometimes they just decide they don’t want some of the regular stuff. My 1 year old is doing that now. Makes you feel like they aren’t getting proper nutrition…and sometimes all the tricks don’t work. They don’t actually need to eat as much as we think. A serving for them is only the size of their palm, which is tiny…like a tablespoon of corn or greenbeans. When they go through phases like this, when they decide they don’t want healthy oatmeal or eggs for breakfast, I offer things like whole grain cereal bars or frozen gogurt in the tubes. Buy the kind without added color. Pediasure shakes are also a good way to offer nutrition throughout the day. They aren’t cheap, but they can be a good supplement when they aren’t eating alot. Also, you might try dicing up fruit and freezing it, as well as buying some whole grain cereals and making a trail mix or his own Chex mix, go to their websites for good recipes. It’s generally just a phase. Don’t worry, he will like veggies again. It doesn’t always have to be a big meal of veggies to make them get all their nutrition. Don’t worry unless your child show noticeable weightloss.

I’m sorry, but are you a short order cook? Is your kitchen a diner?
Keep putting it in front of him. He either eats that or gets nothing else. His hunger will help him choose.

the exact same healthy meals you serve the rest of the famiy are perfect for the child. if you lack imagination, ask the family to help with planning, invest in cookbooks, and take cooking classes.

my little one loves cheese. so i always slip some veggies and meat in her mac and cheese. just try adding things to things that you know he’ll eat. if that doesnt work, you can get those fruit juices that have veggies in them but taste like fruit juice.

When my daughter tried to be picky I never forced her to eat, but rewarded her when she did. I have never given my kids alot of junk but we would have dinner and she would get her plate. If she didn’t eat I put it in the fridge and let her go play. When she got hungry that is exactly what she got. If she ate her food she would get fruit a cookie (cereal bar or Granola) candy (fruit snacks.

OK honest answer get the book decitful chef or look up recipes online. Its amazing there is a recipe of adding purred califlower to mac n cheese its cheep and GOOOD!!! no lie i loved it. The other thing i tried was a brownie made with pureed black beans and you use that instead of sum or all the other ingredents (cant remember to well)
I was a picky kid and my mom knew of one food i would always eat, Sauce!! so if she felt i was not eatting she made that for dinner. (ended up eating it once a week)
But there are alot of meals that you make that are eye appealing for yougn kids like being mac and cheese but having veggies in it.. so mom gets the best of both worlds a healthier meal and an eating child.
But remember still offer fruits and veggies
dont reward for eating this shos the child if i eat i get a treat then wont eat unless you give a treat.
Also there are other kid cook books available (also online if you dont want to buy a book) that takes food and makes fun things out of it.. like cutting hotdogs like spiders, making faces on pancakes wit fruit and yogurt.
