Cooking Live MovieHere’s a simple solution for busy singles that want to stop themselves from eating out all the time, and start eating healthy on a regular basis. Using this simple system, you’ll do less work, eat better, and spend less than you would on fast food. If you like the concepts presented in The Four Hour Workweek, then this is perfect for you. Credit also goes to my friend Dan Rose from www.sixpackshortcuts.com for giving me the idea to get the takeout containers from my local restaurant supply store. If you’re curious, they cost under for 150 units (including the lids), so that’s less than 30 cents per container, and you can re-use them again and again. I hope you enjoy giving this a try. It’s working for me, and I believe it can work for you too.

@Devomon808 – This is hardly for rich people only. I am paying 5.71 per meal after all is said and done. If you eat out at all, then you are already paying the same. I am just doing it all at once in order to take advantage of bulk.

@KRE8TVT – In my experience, Craigslist is perfectly safe. Obviously there are creepers wherever you go, but in the arena of hiring a cook, I have had nothing but positive experiences. The amount of different meals is displayed in the video. That’s the variety she made, and I have multiples of each. Where you save money is that the cook makes BIG portions of each thing, and then packs it up into individual meals.

@JasonMcGarva I know but is Craigslist safe? I heard bad things about it. Also out of the 70 containers you have, how many different meals are there? How did you tell the cook to cook for you?

I have said this on Mike Chang’s channel and I will say it here. There is nothing healthy about eating this way. Apart from the fact that pre-cooked food oxidizes and looses nutrition when stored for any length of time, microwaving (ie, blasting it with radiation) is one of the worst things you can do to food. If you want to get cancer, living off microwaved food is a great way to acheive it. At the very least oven heat the food rather than microwave it.

40 dollars an hour? Is this video mainly directed to people who make tons of money?

Too lazy to cook one meal, but not enough to make a nine minute video. Jeez.

@shitthrowingmonkey1 – Not when you get 70 meals out of it and divide the total cost by the amount of meals you get. Mine came out to 5.71 per meal, and the food was healthier than the typical preservative-packed foods that restaurants serve.

@KRE8TVT – You can hire a cook on Craigslist by posting an ad in the GIGS / DOMESTIC section on the bottom right of the main page.

I want to try this but cannot afford the chef, so I’ll just ask my mom.

Sure thing I’ll hire a cook to go with the butler and the maid. They can all stay in the servant’s quarters in the east wing, because I’m so wealthy that I own a mansion. Not.

How is this more cost effective than eating out? You have to pay for the cook and the food. Surely this would be more costly than eating at a restraunt

    Hey Jason,

I AM currently On Sixpackshortcuts right now and I am preparing food like this. But I cannot even compare the quality and variety of my food vs your food. Can you PLEASE Ask your cook for her recipies/instructions on how she makes her meals. Your meals look SOO much better than mine. By the way I think the idea of outsourcing is GENUIS!

All those that commented that this video is “useless” or somehow bad advice just because he is suggesting hiring a cook, please just shut up. This was a good video intended for those of us that don’t want to cook. Out sourcing this time consuming daily chore is a great idea. Anyone who says different must be forgetting you “out source” fast food places and restaurants all the time to do the same thing. This way you choice what is placed into your meals and you can in a sense get a bulk discount

i appreciate your suggestions but as a college student, i find it such a hassle to hire a cook just for this…

i learnt extremely simple recipes: throwing EVERYTHING into a rice cooker, or making soup with loads of veg thrown in. both require zero skills. although i sympathise with you being lazy to cook considering your high standard of food. they all look very delicious and difficult to prepare after all

See this is a concept and all. However eating all that stuff is 100x better to eat them fresh. But I will be using this idea for my lunches. Just rather make dinner the time of.

Not sure about hiring someone else to cook for you… Are you sure your mum didn’t make them for you? lol It’s not practical at all. These meals aren’t even hard to cook anyway. Useless video.

dude… what shall we do with this video now? I think it’s even more unconvenient to hire a cook (btw who does that?!) and also way more expensive..

Just learn how to cook yourself and stop beeing a lazy ass!
