    so in conclusion you just need to wash the beans 3-4 times and then mix it with sugar until the boil right?

    I find that the red beans usually don’t become soft enough if you follow this video and will result in anko with chunks of white center of red beans. Maybe they have to be soaked before?

    @tsetsoooo

    Its a huge class issue too. Fresh healthy food is VERY difficult to find in america at low prices. Most americans eat fast food because its all that they can afford. Most upper middle class and wealthy americans who can afford fresh foods are not overweight. Obesity is a disease that plagues the lower middle class and poor of america (which is, unfortunately, most of our population). The phonomena I just explained is indeed a culture issue. Try not to be so judgemental.

    I don’t see how the whole obesity discussion is related to this video, but this demonstration is very informative, and I must say your poodle is extremely well behaved! Great video and thank you for posting — I can’t wait to try this out!

    I’ve had Japanese red been sweets while in Japan; it’s an acquired taste for me that I’m still working on.

    @moonlitsky001 I think it has to be red azuki beans / red anko beans. Hope that helps :)

    omg it really worked! unfortunately i cooked the paste too long.. but its not bad (: and i think you need to use jap glutinous rice flour. coz i used chi rice flour and it turned out like chi dango — which is called tang yuan.
