I’ve read that parakeets need to eat-
•50% cooked beans, whole wheat bread, cooked rice, pasta, and seed;
•45% fresh broccoli, carrots, yams, spinach, dandelion greens, other green/orange fruits and veggies;
•5% eggs, tuna packed in water, well cooked meat.
But my parakeets wont eat anything but seeds. How do I go about this? I want them to be healthy and eat healthy. How do I teach 5 parakeets to eat fruits & veggies?

    You should clip the veggies to the cage wherever youre budgies usually sit. This usually
    works your budgies will eventually bite it an see that they like the flavor. Hope this helps!

    i’ve owned parakeets before, and i’ve learned that if you want them to try certain other things, then temporary eliminate others it likes, like the seeds, like start a fresh day with no seeds for food, and just leave the particular food item you’d like them to try for a whole day, but if they don’t eat it by the end of the day, before you go to bed just give them the seeds again, you don’t want them to starve, but try that everyday. . . they’ll eventually start to realize they have no other choice but to eat what you give them. .
