am 13 and I am way over weight. I love fruits, its just that my mom works a lot and usually brings home fast foods, and that is why I am overweight today (about 60-100 pounds overweight) I talked to my mom and she agrees to cook healthy meals. I am a very organized person, so I made myself a schedule of how my summer days will be like for the rest of the summer:
Wake up
Exercise machine –250 calories
Breakfast (20 grapes, 1 apple) +150 calories
Snack (2 cup lettuce + dressing) +50 calories
Exercise machine –150
Early Dinner (whatever my mom makes) – +300-400 calories
Exercise machine –300 calories
Late Snack (fruit or vegetable of my choice) +50-100 calories
Exercise –200
Total: intake: 600
burned:900
LOSS OF 300 CALORIES
This I beleive will help me lose weight fast. I know what all of you are thinking, 600 calories is not enough for me, but I usually do not eat that much! To me 1000 calories is a lot without eating fast food .
That is not all what I’ll be doing in a day, I will also be like watching tv and reading and stuff like that.
I will eat meats during dinner. Maybe sometimes breakfast. And I am a GIRL (so I’m a dudette. lol) also, I usually only eat 800 calories a day, so this is just a small step down.

Eating 600 calories a day is extremely unhealthy, and at your age probably very dangerous. And when you add lots of exercise to the equation, it’s just downright ridiculous.
You need to see a doctor or a nutritionist/dietician, someone who can help you devise a diet and exercise plan that is healthy, maintainable, and age-appropriate.
If you start depriving your body of the nutrients it needs now and your growth could be stunted, your mental abilities (such as being able to do your school work) will be affected, your mental health will be affected (leading to depression, etc).
Nothing good will come from what you’re planning on doing. I appreciate that you’re keen to do something and that you’re an organised person, but you are just too young to know enough about how the body works and what the body needs to be able to do this safely and effectively.
The best you could hope for from the plan you’ve written up here is that you’ll be exhausted, hungry, and miserable all day every day.
Do it properly, sweetheart. Good luck.

You have to eat at least 1,200 calories a day. If you get less than that your body will think its starving and stop burning calories and start storing calories. Then you will gain more weight. The most weight you should lose per week is 1-2 pounds. Any more than that and its totally unhealthy and you will gain back a lot of weight really fast. So if you lose 2 pounds per wek then in 30 weeks or 7 months you will be at a healthy weight. You really should ask your doctor for help because he or she will be able to explain to you how weight loss works. I think that you think that you need to burn more calories than you eat and that’s not true. Here’s a site that I think might help you.

I really think you should consult your doctor because your weight loss plan is not healthy. The most important things that you HAVE to remember are:
1. EAT 1200 CALORIES PER DAY
2. ONLY LOSE 1-2 POUNDS PER Week

As a girl you need calcium!! You need to lose no more than 2 lbs. a week. It is good to exercise, but learning to change you diet is most important. No good to lose the weight if you don’t change your eating habits. You need milk or milk products and meat or some substitute for protein. Remember, you did not gain this in a month and you will need to have patience and perseverance to get through this. If you have a buddy who is also dieting, you can be a support system for each other. If you are doing it alone, try to get your mom or someone you can talk to when the going gets tough. Hang in there as the result of losing the weight is worth the effort. Good luck!
