    I think it has no effect actualy.. Umm if im right, sodium chloride is salt. No matter how much you boil it, it doesnt actually change the chemical composition, only physical. As in the salt dissolves into the boiling water, but hey water is still salty, so you know its still thurr. So i dont think heat/cooking affects it at allsies. Sorry i dont do the subject "foods" but i do do hospitality yr 12! hohpe this helps

    Yeah, what corvato said lol: Also, its true because, in canned foods or any food, they still tell you how much sodium is in it, which means the original amount of sodium still is in the food, no matter what method of cooking: canned (boiled), cereal, anything you name it. Even when you cook with salt, teh salt limit doesnt go down.

    sodium chloride (salt) is extremely stable. it can’t be broken down into its elements under any standard conditions, since if it could, we wouldn’t be cooking or eating it… sodium is a very strong explosive when exposed to any water, and chloride is a highly toxic chemical.
