I know its mostly her decision and in the end she has to make a life choice. She’s not like extremely big or anything, and I can tell she wants to eat healthier because she has been cooking healthier meals and getting a lot more excersise. The problem is my mothers weakness is dessert. When we go to the store she usually wants to get a box cake or ingrediants to make her own dessert. I am in the store as I am typing this and she is about to buy a banana pudding even though she has made two cakes two days in a row. So anyone please help! What can I tell her that will change her eating habits fo good!

Its actually too easy. With things like this you just change the type of ingredients she buys. If she likes cake, get no-sugar cake or sugar substitutes like splenda or sweet n’ low to cook with. If she likes ice cream, get sugarless ice cream bars or sugarless frozen yogurt. If you can, convince her to move to fruits/fruit salads/fruit smoothies. She can make these herself and with lowfat/skim milk and a little artificial sweetener her day will be complete. Drink a glass of water/ something lowfat before meals. She’ll eat less and still feel full. Good luck!

tell her gently, that she’s being selfish, and that you love her and you want her healthy and going as long as possible.

Well to help her you know work out with her and if she goes on a diet eat healthier with her. Or at least don’t eat any fattening desserts when she is around.

Find healthier substitutes for those desserts to satisfy her sweet tooth.

Or just remind her about the cakes, and tell her you don’t think you guys need another dessert– and maybe gently remind her that she’s been exercising more and making healthier meals for a reason, so it would be a shame to blow it on banana pudding.
