I don’t know how to cook and I want to eat healthy. How do I begin? I don’t want to fry it, that of course is unhealthy.

I would immediately choose yours as ‘Best answer’ if there was a video on Youtube or something

either bake it or buy a foreman grill, but if you cook it in a ton of oil then it’s less healthy.

First, if you can afford it, buy chicken that was raised on a diet of NO antibiotics or steroids.

You can bake, broil, grill or stew skinless chicken and it will have an acceptable amount of fat. When I make chicken and noodles, I use a whole, skin-on chicken cut into pieces to cook faster, but I remove the fat from the broth with a special pot before I serve it.The skin accounts for more than half the calories in chicken, so don’t serve it.

The healthiest way to cook a chicken is to put it on a vertical roasting rack, which is the way I cook my whole chickens. It allows all the oil to drain away from the chicken. I marinate if overnight after first washing it which entails putting salt on and in the chicken, then rubbing it, then rinsing off the salt. The salt is a natural cleanser. I then take paper towels and blot off all excess water from the chicken. The marinade that I use is one which guarantees that the entire chicken meat will be moist, even if you accidentally over cook it until it is totally black, like I did the first time I cooked it after being a newlywed. (I had forgotten to set the timer and took it our when I smelled the skin burning.)
    The marinade is:
5 slices of peeled fresh ginger diced up fine
3 T. Chinese Five Spice (you can buy a small plastic bag of this at any Asian grocery store)
    4 T. Soy Sauce

You just marinate it overnight. The next day you place it on a vertical or horizontal roasting rack and put it in the oven at 375 degrees for about 45 mins.- one-hour. If it’s a very large chicken, you may have to cook it a bit longer.

You know how sometimes chicken breast meat is dry? Well, this recipe never comes out dry.

You stated that you want to eat healthy, so where do you start… My advice to you would be…. Cut out the chicken. You might want to look into a vegetarian-style lifestyle for optimum health benefits :)

I take boneless/skinless chicken breast and boil them for about 10 15 mins, then take them out of the water and put them in a pan with very little olive oil. pepper then and sometimes put something spicy on it and brown the outside. Otherwise I grill it

The healthiest way is to cook your chicken hainanese style. First, you have to marinate your chicken so it wont be dry. Use, garlic, ginger, onion (optional), small amount of soy sauce to taste, rice vinegar, and olive oil or canola oil. After marinating your chicken for few hours steam it in medium heat for 45 min or until all the chicken meat are white (slice through to check it). breast is the most healthiest part of the chicken but it’s up to you.
