    make sure they have no cooking skill, also if you have sims2 I can’t remember if works with the original, start cooking and queue up other stuff so that they go off and do something else.

    I’m assuming you mean the Sims 2…Sims with no cooking skill points or very little cooking skill may start a fire, but it’s a completely random event.

    I always do it but not on purpose but you make sure there rubbish at cooking and then just make then leave the cooker still cooking something while they go to the toliet just say then it will catch fire it works better on a bbq.

    get them to read books that gives them points so they will not cause a fire if they do not read books they will start fires as they will not have points

    am i right in thinking you want to start a fire. well then what you have to do is this. buy a fire (if your broke and using the sims on pc press ctrl and c then type in rosebud) then put 5 rugs underneath the fire.
