Chicken stinks and is unhealthy in every way!!

No??? ok, any way you cook it is healthy as long as you cook it to where it is completely cooked. The bones in it must turn white in the middle not be pink!

Pan broil, pan saute, stew, fry!! it is all the same if you do it at the proper temperature!! Go buy a good cookbook like Better Homes and Gardens CookBook. It will tell you step by step how to cook anything and everything.

I will give you a couple of very easy ways to cook chicken on the stove. One is with Campbell’s Healthy Choice (which is low in fat and sodium) Cream of Mushroom soup and the other is just things from scratch.

Here’s the first. Take your frozen chicken pieces and place them in a pot with one can of the above soup. Add water to cover the chicken, stirring to mix up the soup. Bring to a boil, turn down the heat, and simmer for 30 minutes. The chicken will be nice and moist and tender. Use the soup for gravy. The way my father used to do this was to take a can of Chicken Noodle soup, put the frozen chicken pieces in (he used thighs), brought to the boil, cooked it for 30 minutes. Boiled a small potato per person, mashed it with a little butter, milk and black pepper. He would then take a bowl, put a scoop of the potatoes in the bowl, place one piece of chicken next to it and then cover the whole thing with the soup. It was very good and other than the sodium in his chicken noodle soup, healthy.

For the next, saute onions until translucent. Add chopped carrots and celery and saute them for one minute. Add water and a little chicken base or broth left over from boiling chicken or veggies. Add your chicken (raw – doesn’t have to be frozen) and a bay leaf and some black pepper. Make sure you have enough liquid to cover at least 3/4ths of your chicken. Bring to a boil, turn the heat down and simmer for 20 -30 minutes. At the 20 minute mark, it’s the perfect time to add dumplings to the above. Enjoy!

    SKILLET CHICKEN AND BROCCOLI

    4 boneless, skinless, chicken breasts
1 can condensed Broccoli and Cheese Soup
    1 soup can of water
1 bag frozen broccoli or 2 cups fresh broccoli
    oil
    rice

Heat oil in a large skillet. Brown the chicken on both sides.
In a bowl, combine soup and water. Pour soup over chicken. Top with broccoli.

Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until chicken is done and broccoli reaches desired tenderness.

    Serve over rice.

The best way to cook chicken on top of the stove in a healthy way is to boil it in water with a little celery and onion. After it’s cooked you can save the broth for either chicken noodle soup (homemade) or perhaps for another recipe. Stir frying chicken with fresh veggies and a little oil is good too.

What do you believe is healthy…?
    Chicken is just chicken..
Stick a fork in it – - hold it over the flame..
electric – - boil it in a pot.
    what you ask is impossible..
It (the Chicken meat) is as healthy as it is going to get
try ,,,eat it raw,,, same story…just chicken..
