I’ve just started dieting and am sooo tired of the same old salad I know how to make.

Do you have any healthy simple salad recipes? or salad dressing recipes?

I think the best salads are the ones I basically throw a bunch of stuff into.

Start with a base, like lettuce, spinach, arugla, etc. But remember, the darker theh greens, the more nutrients they contain, and the better they are for you.

Next, choose a few toppings to add! Just make sure that you choose at least one that is a good source of protein. Here are some ideas for proteins:

    -grilled/sliced chicken breast
    -ground turkey
    -veggie burger patty
    -beans
    -hard boiled eggs
    -canned tuna/salmon
    -grilled/baked fish
    -cottage cheese

Here are some other ideas for healthy add-ins:

-fresh chopped veggies (carrots, mushrooms, tomato, brocolli, etc)
-fresh fruit (berries, chopped apple/pear, citrus fruits, etc)
-dried fruit, like raisins or cranberries
-cheese (I like stronger cheeses like bleu or feta, because they add a lot of flavor)
    -avocado
    -nuts/seeds
    -hummus

As for dressings, avoid the creamy type ones because they ususally contain more fat/calories. If you want to make your own, here are a couple recipes you can try:

    Hope that helped!
