hi i need a recipe urgently to go with a prawn pasta salad. it mights sound abit wierd but i have this cooking competition at school for coming up with an orginal, tastey and healthy breakfast and i have this idea. im going to have cold pasta with prawns, sweetcorn, mixed beans and that kind of thing as a fresh way to start the day but i need a sauce for the salad or itll be really dry. it needs to be light and creamy and something delicious.
how do you even make seafood sauce and what is it?

Thousand Island goes brilliantly with that kind of thing.
I’m a food tech student and have been recently studying this kind of thing.
A recipe i have been playing with is – http://www.cookitsimply.com/recipe-0010-0204k5.html
Normally I tend to remove the capers, olives and pickels and add tomato ketchup. weird i know, but delicious.

I would go with a mayo based cream sauce with lemon…maybe 1/2 mayo, 1/2 sour cream so it’s not too heavy. They add a squirt of lemon juice, salt & pepper, maybe some fresh chopped dill weed..

Marie Rose sauce would be ideal for this salad and it consists of:-
Mayonnaise
Tomato Ketchup
Worcester Sauce
Squeeze of Lemon
