    Breakfast ideas:

    - Oatmeal
Topping ideas: almond butter or peanut butter, nuts, fresh berries/fruit, raisins, dried fruit like cherries/cranberries/blueberries, cinnamon, skim milk or non-dairy milk, nonfat yogurt, jam, honey, agave nectar, maple syrup, etc. For a treat you could also try to add some dark chocolate chips/crumbles.
    * Non-dairy milk like – almond, soy or rice milk.

    - Healthy cereal topped with things like skim milk or non-dairy milk, berries/fruit.

    - Greek yogurt with fresh berries. If you choose plain yogurt and would like some sweetness go for a drizzle of honey, agave nectar or jam. Add nuts or granola/muesli for some crunch.

    - .Homemade smoothie: using fruit/berries of your choice with skim milk or non-dairy milk with nonfat yogurt, you can also add 1 or 2 tbsp ground flax seed.

Hope this helps :) Try starting your day out with a healthy, protein and fiber filled breakfast.

One idea would be 2 eggs (however you like them) with some low-fat turkey bacon. Another idea would be whole oats and make oatmeal with craisins. Another breakfast could be whole wheat toast with peanut butter, or a no sugar added jelly. Finally another good breakfast could be some fruit such as berries, cantaloupe, grapes, or bananas.

I usually start the day with a couple slices of Wasa whole grain crispbread, along with a wedge of Laughing Cow Light cheese, instead of soft bread and butter/marg. Wasa tastes great, and is much lower in calories and sodium than soft bread. Also Laughing Cow Light is only 35 calories per wedge and so smooth and rich that you won’t notice it’s low fat. I also have about ½ cup fresh berries, or a banana and a glass of orange juice. Sometimes intead of the cheese, I’ll have a cup of Yoplait Light yogurt.

For a great breakfast smoothie, I’ll combine a cup of Yoplait Light yogurt with a banana and/or fresh berries and 1 cup of juice. Whirl it in the blender and off I go, drinking it on the way to work. One favourite combination- 1 cup strawberry yogurt, 1 banana, and 1 cup apple juice. Another good one is- 1 cup blueberry yogurt, ½ cup blueberries, and 1 cup pomeganate-blueberry juice. Another one I’m fond of is- 1 cup orange-creme yogurt, 1 banana, and 1 cup orange juice.

If you’re really in hurry, you could also just toss a couple handfuls of whole grain, high fiber cereal and some dried fruit into a plastic bag and munch on it while stuck in traffic, sipping some juice or green tea along with it.

    Yes! I really like this:
1/3 cup blue berries (i use frozen)
1 yogurt cup : usually blueberry also.
    1/2 banana
1tbl peanut butter creamy or nutty
1/3 cup of skim or 1% milk
Place in blender and blend. You can add more milk if you want it less thick.
Very good in the morning and I can take it in a to go mug if I am in a hurry.

You can vary this with other kinds of fruit and or use a scoop of ice cream or cream if you want a richer drink.

Rolled oats, raisins, cinnamon, a little orange juice, and milk mixed makes Swiss Muesli. Eat it cold, soaked overnight in the refrigerator or just eat it right away.

Mix any cereal half and half with rolled oats and add milk. It gives you a healthier cereal with less sugar. Serve cold. (I never cook oats. In fact, I hate cooked oatmeal.)
