Hello, I am a first year first grade teacher. I am teaching measurement in my class. I would like to have a hands-on cooking day to teach measurement. (Using cups, teaspoons, tablespoons, etc). However, I do not have access to a stove or oven.
Could anyone give me a recipe that involves quite a bit of measurement but no cooking? (Knives are also not allowed so a lot of cutting is not ideal.)
Thanks!

Try this one:
3 cups of crushed graham crackers
3 cups of brown sugar (white sugar would do)
half a stick of butter
4 cups of heavy cream
2 tablespoons of vanilla extract
a cup of berries (optional)
In a bowl mix 2 cups of crushed grahams and a cup of sugar. Add half a stick of butter and mix them well until there’s no sign of any butter chunks. Next, mix 4 cups of heavy cream with the remaining two cups of sugar and vanilla. Mix well. In a mug (or maybe a big coffee cup will do) add 2 tablespoons of the graham mixture and flatten them in the bottom of the mug then add 4 tablespoons of the cream (add a tablespoon of berries each layer!). Add 2 more tablespoons of the graham mixture (but this time don’t flatten it, instead even out the layer with a spoon) then 4 tablespoons of the cream. Repeat procedure at least 4 times (or until the mug is filled up). Chill in the freezer of fridge for at least 15 minutes then serve! Makes up to 12-15 servings.
Hope you like it.
