No. all you ahve to do is fill out an application and they hire you or don’t. no cooking schools

Yes, they do and it’s called Olive Garden’s Culinary Institute of Tuscany. It is sort of set up like a contest and top performing restaraunts get to send chefs to the cooking institute. It is by no means a regular training program though, more like a special perk for great employees.
Olive Garden’s Culinary Institute of Tuscany is located in the 11th century village of Riserva di Fizzano. Every year a group of Olive Garden chefs travel to the Culinary Institute to learn authentic cooking secrets from Italian Chef Romana Neri and Chef Paolo Lafata.

Not all chefs go to school in Tuscany, but I have a friend whose husband did attend the training in Italy.
